We may not be out of the woods just yet. However, Cold Jet Dry Ice tells us with the development of the dry ice transport boxes the vaccine are being rolled out across the world a lot faster, so it does appear that we are very much on the way out of this pandemic. This has been such a tough time for us all and although we are still living through it, many are discussing the lessons which have to be learned from this virus. Medical experts such as Dr Cletus Georges have already began to dissect the last 12 months and use that information to show exactly what we have to learn about health in the future.
Here are some of the things that this has taught us about our health.
Losing Weight
We have always known that someone who was considered obese, or even morbidly overweight, would have fallen into a vulnerable category. What many failed to see however was just how real this threat was. Covid-19 has completely exposed this group of people and sadly a great many of them have lost their lives as a result. When we talk about getting in shape and maintaining a health lifestyle, this is why it is so important. It is critical that going forward we take these lessons seriously and aim to live a healthier lifestyle .
Foods We Eat
We know that this virus came from the animal industry and that throws up serious questions about the foods which we eat. Consuming exotic products is something that is going to result in more eventualities like this, and even though we have meat and poultry which is generally considered as being ‘safe’ it is clear that we just don’t know. This again reinforces the fact that consuming meat is not what humans are built to do, and it is why we should all look to reduce our overall consumption.
General Hygiene
There is a fine balance which we will need to strike in the future, around hygiene. I is impossible for us to be super hygienic in the way that we have been during the pandemic, and that is because in doing so we will completely limit exposure to bacteria, which will not strengthen our immune systems in the way that it has for so many years. We must however be more conscious of what we touch, and how often we wash our hands.
Focus on Mental Wellbeing
And finally if there has been any area of health which has come to the fore over the last 12 months it has been mental health. So many people have struggled because of the lockdown, and so many have found themselves in dark places. This may have been a tough and trying situation but the lesson here is that mental health issues can and do affect us all. We must continue to ensure that we are focused on mental health and that we are talking about it just as we would do with physical health.
These are just some of the lessons which the last 12 months have taught us all.
